History of Polish Resistance is a research and outreach platform dedicated to the study of the Polish underground movement during the Second World War. Its mission is to combine scholarly research with accessible historical storytelling, in order to shed light on one of the most significant yet often overlooked aspects of wartime Europe.
The project is led by Perrine Kreder, a historian specialized in Polish history during WWII. Holding a background in both archaeology and history, I am currently pursuing advanced research on the history of Polish Resistance, with a particular focus on marginalized or forgotten groups such as Pluton Głuchoniemych. Alongside my academic work, I am committed to public history: making complex historical knowledge available to a wider audience through writing, digital media, and public engagement.
This platform serves a double purpose:
- For researchers and students, it provides resources, references, and insights grounded in rigorous historical methodology.
- For the general public, it offers articles, analyses, and educational content designed to make the history of the Polish resistance understandable and engaging.
By bridging the gap between academic research and historical outreach, History of Polish Resistance aims to preserve memory, encourage dialogue, and highlight the values of resilience, solidarity, and freedom that remain deeply relevant today.
